The page adds detail the 2020 announcement lacks, including the associated-account disclosure and the 15-day adjustment lag. Neither document states that every solo developer qualifies automatically. Enrollment is an affirmative step: a developer who does nothing keeps paying 30 percent even with revenue well under the threshold.

The operating cost

Estimated: for a one-person SaaS earning 900,000 USD a year in App Store proceeds, the 15-point spread between the standard and reduced commission is worth roughly 135,000 USD a year, calculated as 900,000 multiplied by 0.15.
